The Maiden

The prophesized warrior destined to free Latanica from the mad clutches of the warlord Malcus. No one knows for sure if The Maiden is indeed real or not, but the creatures of Latanica keep the hope of her arrival locked deep in their hearts. She is described as being ethereal looking with white hair and violet eyes. She is said to posses incredible fighting ability, wisdom beyond her years and a love and kindness in her heart for all.




Min

A Tarius Slave. Min was born in the castle of Tarius and has no memory or her parents. Ava, the palace cook, raised her and Min views her as a mother. She is thirteen years old but because of her hard life seems much older. Min is caring, defends those weaker then her, and is fiercely loyal to Old Latanica. Despite her ruff outer shell she is still a child and longs for love and freedom. Her greatest fear is the death of those she cares about.






Ava



Head human slave cook in the Tarius castle.  She holds a mysterious past that is yet to be revealed.  She is like a mother to Min.  Name means “hidden” in the ancient tongue.







Adrian

Son of the best sword maker in Latanica.  Later a slave to the sorcerer Sly after his parents are killed and the apprentice of Ffafgen after he escapes.  Expert swordsman, beloved of the Maiden.  Name comes from Hadrianus (the rich one).





Ramza

A talking black panther with mysterious qualities.  Ramza is over two hundred years old and originates from the desert oasis’ beyond the outer rim.  She came to Ffafgen after twenty years of roaming Geïa and helps him with certain missions. Name means “desert night.”







Lunar


Part Unicorn and part Pegasus, Lunar is from the Islands of Âirion, which is the second highest concentration of Łiǵhʈ in all of Geïa.  For the past fifty years Lunar has lived with the wizard Ffafgen helping him travel to the many places he has gone to help the people and grow in wisdom.  Name means “the cycle of the moon.”





Ffafgen


Is a 510 year old human Mystic.  Not much is known of Ffafgen other than he is one of the most powerful Mystics in Geïa.  He is the one who trains the Maiden in the art of swordplay and wisdom. He has had many apprentices, one of them being Jotham, beloved of the enchantress Minerva.  Name means “wise.”


Alvinia


Taken from her village at age seven, Alvinia has worked in the fields her whole life until her escape with the rest of the slaves at fourteen.  She is a skilled healer and a gentle, quite elf.  Name means Elven Council (female).








Alvord


Brother to Alvinia, and a Tarius Slave until age eleven.  He is a skilled warrior and defender of those weaker then him.  He also has anger issues abnormal to his elfin nature.  Name means Elven Council (male).





Malcus


Half demon warlord.  Malcus conquered the kingdom Latanica under the reign of Kind Darius the IV and Queen Glory.  Name means “tyrant” in the ancient tongue.









Dravia


Daughter of Malcus.  She is a tyrant who loves watching blood flow and making others feel worthless.  She is Min’s Master.  Name comes from Dvar (evil) Ila (beauty) in the ancient tongue.







Sly


Human sorcerer.  Sly is Malcus' lap dog, he will always obey him and never leave his side.  Malcus obtained this loyalty by a spell his Master, Gall, helped him weave to bind the unlucky human man.  Sly is the one who leads the raid parties to capture new slaves, he is also the one who slaughtered Adrian’s family.



Jarus

Prince of the captive Latanica and King of Avalon.  Husband of Queen Rose of Avalon and father of Eric.  Son of the late King Darius and Queen Glory of Latanica and brother to Princess Jazmine.  Jarus was only two years old when Malus conquered Latanica and grew up a slave until the fateful day of his escape at fifteen.  After losing his memory from the magic blast Sly cast on him, Jarus is found by a Pegasus who takes him to Avalon.  Jarus reunites with his sister when he regains his memory by entering Latanica to find a cure for his ailing son.  Name means “courage” (jaer).


Minerva

Mystic apprentice to the shape-shifter Sylva—the wise owl of the academy for the Łiǵhʈ.  At age nineteen her school was burned to the ground by the traitor Fortuna.  Her love, Jotham, was killed trying to save the students from the fire.  And later, her master Sylva was killed by Fortuna while trying to save her.  After forty years Minerva finally landed in the kingdom of Latanica and became friends with Queen Glory.  After Malcus conquered Latanica, Minerva swore to protect the heir and Maiden, Princess Jazmine.  She puts a spell on the young princess, hiding her looks and keeping her safe.




Shade

Leader of the clan of wraiths living in the forest outside of the Tarius castle. He was the former spy of Darius IV.




Luman

The Creator of Geïa and Ors’Tuhn.  Luman is the Deity of the people of Geia and the King to the Lag’Ne, the people of Ors’Tuhn.  He appears as a human to some, but is much more.  He is power, goodness, truth, and beauty.  He is the Father of all, the Creator of all life.  His name means “light” in the ancient tongue.


Aayla

The assigned “Mother” for all living creatures born of the light.  She is the spouse of the Guiding Spirit of Ors’Tuhn and one of the designated messengers of Luman.  Name comes from Aya (pure).
